Merchants in Downtown Oak Harbor are ready to welcome hundreds of costumed kids with bowls full of candy and treats. Look for a sign in the windows of downtown businesses which indicate participation. The OHPD will be joining us to provide pedestrian safety at crosswalks.
The Downtown Trick-or-Treat is FREE to the public and will be held rain or shine on October 31, 2021 from 5:30pm-6:30pm. Neighborhood door-to-door trick-or-treating will be from 6:00-7:30pm that same night.
Join us for a safe, family friendly way to celebrate Halloween!
Would you like the opportunity to tell your peers about your business and enjoy a delicious breakfast? Then join us for this amazing networking opportunity and educational series.
Our Business Over Breakfast Networking & Education Series is aimed at encouraging Chamber of Commerce members to meet regularly, exchange contact details, and share information, ideas and knowledge in a positive environment. Each event offers time for coffee and breakfast while networking, followed by a short presentation on relevant business-related topics to help improve the performance and bottom-line results of your organization.
The quarterly sessions will be held from 7:30 to 9:00 AM on a Thursday morning in Oak Harbor. Member cost for each session is $5 per person. As an added incentive, members who attend 3 of the 4 sessions each calendar year will receive 2 complimentary tickets to our Annual Dinner Meeting AND a $10 Oak Harbor Chamber gift certificate! Reservations are required for the catered, hot breakfast.
We are currently seeking host sponsors for these events!
Each session will provide the opportunity for 1 sponsor. As a sponsor, your business logo will appear on all promotional materials with mention in all press releases. You will also have a 15 minute “spotlight” after breakfast to promote your business. Sponsorship cost is $50. Spaces are limited and will be considered on a first come, first serve basis. For more information or to secure your sponsorship opportunity, please call the chamber office at 419-898-0479.
On Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 4:15pm Santa’s friends from the Portage District Fire Department will be guiding him through the streets of the village as he announces his arrival and opens the 2021 Holiday Season.
At 5:00pm Santa will arrive at the Log Cabin to light the Village Christmas Tree and to visit with the children.
Each child will have the opportunity to share their Christmas wish list with Santa at the Log Cabin. After their visit with Santa the children will then receive Santa Bucks and be able to shop for two (2) free gift items for their loved ones from several businesses in downtown. There will be several businesses open that night and parents will receive a punch card. If you and your children visit each of the participating stores and have your card punched, you can then enter your card into a drawing for a $100 Gift Certificate! After the children have purchased their gifts they may proceed to the Portage Fire Station where parents can turn in their entries for the drawing and children will receive a free cup of cocoa and a free cookie. These activities will be available from 5pm-7pm.
